Daytona State Summer Camps 2008

Welcome to the 2008 Summer Camps of Daytona State College!

We are excited to offer you a variety of enriched camp activities designed to put fun in your summer! There is something for everyone! Our highly-qualified and experienced staff will provide a variety of focused fun, friendly games, and age-appropriate activities.

Robotics Camp 2008 Design, Build & Program Robots! Students will be challenged to prototype and build real working robots. The robots will have to perform specific tasks for a friendly competition at the end of each camp. The challenges will encourage students to exercise their skills in project management, critical thinking and team work. Use state of the art manufacturing design and prototyping technologies. Auto-CAD software, 3-D Simulation, 3-D Rapid prototyping printers, CNC machining and Electrical Engineering disciplines will all be explored.

Summer Scholars Students choose between Science, Spanish, Art and Computer Technology. Sessions include hands on real-life applications combined with fun. Sessions taught by Volusia County School teachers. Engage and Explore this summer. No child left bored!

Performing Arts Camps
Offering a menu of educational, cultural and above all fun programs, the Summer Performing Arts Academy provides an opportunity for kids and adults to enhance their performance skills in the areas of music, drama and dance.

Southeast Museum of Photography's summer camps

Set your camera to manual focus to explore aspects of photography at the Southeast Museum of Photography's summer camps for children ages 8-15.

The photography summer camps will lead children through fun activities that will teach them camera skills, digital graphics, fine art techniques, darkroom, photo design and collage. Both beginner and advanced-level classes will be offered.

Designed to be a fun and educational experience, the aquatic and athletic summer camps at Daytona State College offer a variety of week-long camp opportunities for children aged six through 18.

Camp participants must be pre-registered. Pack a hearty lunch! Lunch time will be supervised and students will remain with their camps. Parents are welcome to volunteer or visit anytime.
